Platform integrity
Trust is the foundation of every Tamasha
How we protect buyers, organizers, and the broader community from fraud, misrepresentation, and abuse.
If you believe you have been a victim of fraud on TamashaGo, contact us immediately at safety@tamashago.com. For financial fraud, you may also contact your bank or card issuer directly.
Fraud Protection
Every transaction on TamashaGo passes through multiple layers of fraud detection before a ticket is issued.
- Stripe Radar screens every card payment for velocity, geolocation, and device fingerprint anomalies.
- Our own rule engine flags accounts with multiple failed payment attempts, mismatched billing details, or unusual purchasing patterns.
- QR codes are single-use and cryptographically signed — duplicating or screenshot-sharing a ticket does not work.
- Organizers cannot access buyer funds until after the event date, reducing the incentive for fraudulent listings.
Buyer Guarantee
If something goes wrong that is within our control, we make it right — no questions asked.
- Full refund if an event is cancelled by the organizer.
- Full refund if an event is materially misrepresented (e.g., listed as "Halal-Only" but alcohol was served).
- Full refund if your ticket fails to scan at the door due to a platform error.
- Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the event date via the Help Center.
- Disputes resolved outside this window are reviewed case-by-case by our Trust & Safety team.
Organizer Verification
We verify every organizer before their first event goes live to protect our community from bad actors.
- New organizers must provide a valid government-issued ID or business registration document.
- Stripe identity verification is required before payouts can be enabled.
- First-time organizers have a payout hold of 7 days post-event while we confirm no disputes were raised.
- Pro organizers who have completed 5+ events with clean records receive expedited verification for new events.
- We conduct periodic re-verification for organizers who have been inactive for more than 12 months.
Chargeback Policy
Chargebacks harm both the platform and legitimate organizers. Here is how we handle them fairly.
- If a buyer initiates a chargeback for an event they attended, we will submit evidence to the card network including check-in logs, ticket scan records, and purchase history.
- Buyers who abuse chargebacks will have their accounts suspended. Repeated abuse will be reported to Stripe's fraud network.
- If a chargeback is upheld for a legitimate reason (event cancelled, misrepresentation), the organizer bears the cost — not TamashaGo.
- Organizers can dispute a chargeback decision by contacting disputes@tamashago.com within 10 business days.
